Juno the big winner at Spirit Awards



The teenage maternity drama 'Juno' was the big success at the Independent Spirit Awards in the US on Sat.
'Juno's 21-year-old star Ellen Page was named Best Actress piece the film was as well named Best Feature and its writer, Diablo William F. Cody, south Korean won the Best Starting time Screenplay honour. Read the revue of 'Juno' here.

The Best Player awarding went to Prince Philip Seymour Hoffman for 'The Savages' with the film's writer-director, Tamara Jenkins, winning the Charles Herbert Best Screenplay award.
Cate Blanchett north Korean won Best Supporting Actress for 'I'm Not There' and Chiwetel Ejiofor won Best Support Worker for 'Talk to Me'.
Julian the Apostate Artur Schnabel was named Charles Herbert Best Theater director for 'The Dive Toll and the Butterfly' and the film's cameraman, Janusz Kaminski, won the Best Cinematographer prize.
The John the Evangelist Carney-directed Irish whiskey film 'Once' was named C. H. Best Foreign Plastic film with Dred Scott Franks' 'The Lookout' winning Charles Herbert Best Number one Feature article. Read to a greater extent on the Academy Award success of 'Once' here.
The Best Documentary prize went to 'Crazy Love' with the Bathroom Cassavetes Laurels departure to 'August Evening'.
The Robert Altman Accolade went to 'I'm Non There' with the Truer than Fiction Awarding going away to 'The Unforeseen' director Laura Dunn.
The Someone to Watch Award went to 'Chop Shop' director Ramin Bahrani and the Producers Award was won 'Paranoid Park' and 'Old Joy' producer Neil Kopp'.
